These facilities will provide care until your pet can be transferred to our veterinary hospital.
| Veterinary Diagnostics |
Our in-house capability to perform blood chemistries allows us to provide quick diagnosis, appropriate treatment and safer anesthesia for your pet. If you have concerns about your dog or cat's frequent or inappropriate urination we can perform a complete urinalysis while you wait and send your pet home with any medication that may be necessary. We also perform fecal float examinations that allow us to determine if your pet has any internal parasites. For more complex testing we use a local laboratory that specializes in animal diagnostics that provides us with a 24-hour turnaround. Finally, we perform animal radiology including OFA films and dental radiographs and are able to arrange for ultrasound examinations. |

| Pet Anesthesia |
By using the most modern anesthetic agents, we strive to make anesthetic procedures extremely safe for your pet. We use both isoflurane and sevoflurane (used in human hospitals) as our gas-inhalant anesthetics. We have a variety of injectable anesthetic agents that allow us to adjust our protocol based on your pet's age and unique health risk factors. We require that all pets undergoing a surgical procedure have a pre-anesthetic blood screen that we can perform in house. This test significantly enhances safety by giving our veterinarians information on your pet's ability to metabolize and excrete the anesthetic agent. |
 |
 |
| Animal Surgery |
We perform spay and neuter surgeries, soft tissue surgeries including removal of dog fatty tumors, cat declawing surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries. Every precaution is taken to ensure your pet's safety during their surgery and post-operative recovery. Our trained veterinary nurses continuously monitor your anesthetized pet visually and electronically during their surgical procedure. We also provide pain control medications to all of our patients to ensure they are comfortable during their hospitalization. Depending upon the procedure we may keep your
pet overnight for a post surgical examination the following morning. You are welcome to visit your pet after surgery. |

| Pet Dentistry |
Dental care is a critical part of a total health regimen for your dog and cat. We encourage all pet owners to have their pet's examined every 6 months including a thorough dental exam. Our veterinarians perform routine dentistry using both ultrasonic and hand scaling to remove tarter and plague from your pet's teeth as well as take dental radiographs. Tooth extractions are performed only when necessary and with your approval. After polishing and a gum rinse we guarantee that your pet's teeth will sparkle and their breath will be "kissably" sweet! |

 |
| Pet Prescription Diets |
We offer Hill's Prescription Diets, Royal Canin Veterinary Diets and Purina Veterinary Diets. These diets are formulated for your pet's special medical and dietary needs. We understand that feeding your dog or cat a prescription diet can be confusing so we encourage you to talk with us about your concerns regarding your pet's dietary needs. If your pet will not eat the special diet that has been prescribed, let us know and we will refund you for the opened bag and work with you and your pet to prescribe a comparable diet that they will eat. |
 |
 |
| Veterinary Referrals |
As veterinary medicine advances and becomes more specialized, referrals are an important aspect of our overall care for your pet. We will work with you and the veterinarian to ensure that your pet receives the best and most progressive treatment for such things as cataracts or allergies in dogs and thyroid treatments in cats. |
