Pet Loss Resources
Losing a pet can be as traumatic as losing a family member, because in many cases that's what they are. In fact researchers at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine have identified four stages of grief: 1) Shock & Denial, 2) Searching & Yearning, 3) Disorganization, and 4) Reorganization. So don't feel embarrassed or ashamed by what you're experiencing. It's all part of the grieving process everyone goes through.
How one deals with grief is a very personal process however, that does not mean you have to mourn alone. We recommend you use these resources while coping with the passing of your pet.
